Inflatable Cycle Helmets may be the new way to wear a bicycle helmet.
Industrial designers in Sweden have developed an inflatable bicycle helmet that is worn as a collar around your neck. They have done this in response to the fact that many cyclists do not wear helmets, even though 40 percent of accidents involve a head injury.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN:
To create the device, the designers spent six years researching and studying how people move normally on a bicycle and how they move during an accident.
The helmet is called a Hovlding and you wear it around your neck. It is very neat and once it has passed independent safety tests, it should be on the market in the next few months.
