Fallujah: Graveyard of Americans 13:00, 2004 (Ref: ME04380)

Description

A deeply moving documentary from Fallujah, Graveyard of Americans, the Iraqi town that was the centre for resistance fighters during the war in 2004.

In Fallujah one resident said in the film “the Americans only came here to kill Iraqis” and another “we are happy every time we hear that an American soldier has been killed”.

Local residents explained why they continued to oppose the occupation forces presence in Iraq.

This deeply traditional Sunni Muslim city became the heart of the guerrilla insurgency against American troops in Iraq.

Since President Bush declared the end of the war more than 40 US soldiers died in the area.
