This year Burma is
scheduled to hold its first elections for 20-years –
but without the participation of the main opposition
group the National League for Democracy (NLD) led by
Aung San Suu Kyi. The NLD won the last election in
1990 with nearly 90% of the votes, but was never
allowed to take power by the Burmese military. Since
then there have been several uprising – all crushed
brutally by the military. We entered the country
undercover to find out how Myanmar’s (the military’s
name for Burma) people are fairing and to
investigate disturbing claims that the regime may be
trying to develop nuclear weapons. The film contains
video and interviews to support this claim.
