Northern Ireland: Integration, 6 minutes, 2009 (Ref: 749)

Integration between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland is still the main stumbling block to peace in this troubled land. We look at how one enterprising school Principal is trying to break the deadlock and see the many hurdles that she has to overcome.

Jill Houston runs an integrated public school. Most Catholics and Protestants don't want their children to go to such schools. But Jill believes this is the best way to solidify peace efforts.

The story takes place in the shadow of the murder of 16-year-old Catholic Michael McIlveen. Protestant youths murdered him in Ballymena.
