|
Asho was just
13-years-old. Last year she was brutally stoned to
death in the part of Somalia ruled by Islamic law –
often compared to rule by the Taliban. The story
made headlines all over the world. We can now tell
her tragic story through interviews with her friends
and family.Asho was a schoolgirl, born and raised in
a refugee camp in neighbouring Kenya and unfamiliar
with the warzone conditions in Somalia. Asho, a
stubborn girl, went off on her own to visit her
grandmother. Her parents and eyewitnesses tell how
she came to her dreadful end. |
