The international
image of Israel is war. But since Israel placed
severe restrictions on Palestinians, its economy is
roaring back to life. Tourism is flourishing,
there's a booming hi-tech economy and many Israelis
and Europeans are living the high life on the
Mediterranean in Israel. In Tel Aviv, there is an
active night club scene, but most still recognise
that without peace the question remains.... can it
last? As Israel celebrates 60-years since its
foundation, we look at all of these areas of Israeli
society and also the ever present violence that
threatens to destroy "the good life". |
