Afghanistan: On the Frontline
8-minutes, 2007
Ref: 539

Watch Video
We have a truly insightful and wonderful film from Afghanistan. It's a remarkable account of life on the front line. Guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity: an Amnesty International Report has accused the Taliban of stepping up its campaign of terror against civilians in Afghanistan. It follows another report slamming American and coalition forces for a lack of care in avoiding civilian casualties. Much of the fiercest fighting between NATO forces and the Taliban has been in Helmand Province in the south. In this report, the reporter is embedded with US troops attempting to secure the volatile town of Sangin, and experiences first hand the uneasy meeting of soldiers and civilians.
