Seven year old Sanju
Benia literally lives on the wrong side of the
tracks. A railway line cuts straight through her
remote tribal village. Her only option is to cross
the track – and watch out for the trains that
thunder past. Sanju is an Untouchable, the lowest of
the low. But because she lives in a tribal village
and not in mainstream Indian society, Sanju has a
slightly better quality of life. But life for Sanju
and her family is still a constant struggle.
Part of 4 x 25 minute
documentary series produced for the BBC. These films can be bought
individually or as a series. |
