We report on how far the Saudi regime is prepared to go to combat terrorism.
It may be a valued ally of America and Britain, but Saudi Arabia has never
shaken its reputation for producing Islamic fundamentalist terrorists.
Osama bin Laden is Saudi, as were 15 of the 19 hijackers of September
11th. The Saudi government has always rejected accusations that it exports
terror. Now, three years after the first attacks within the Kingdom, we
have been to see just how far the regime is prepared to go to combat terrorism.
We witnessed the royal families attempt to present a coherent series of
reforms and a credible military response in the face of terrorism.
