This report looks at ETA's ceasefire announcement. The event may well herald the end of terrorism in the Basque Country. The report is filmed in two very different Basque settings. The first is in the area around Tolosa (Gipuzkoa province), long a stronghold of Basque nationalist support. The second is the area around Ermua (Biskai province), which became a symbol of anti-ETA feeling following the assassination of Miguel Angel Blanco, a young Conservative town councillor in 1997. In Ermua, people are taking a wait-and-see attitude and are reluctant to talk.
