We have exclusive footage from northern Burma where environmentalists claim rare timber is being plundered by China’s illegal logging trade. Chinese timber firms are plundering Burma for hardwoods - which they then import in defiance of the law, according to environmental campaigners. And, claims Global Witness, Burma’s own military is colluding in the illegal trade which is worth hundreds of millions of pounds a year. Burma is an international pariah state - condemned for its human rights abuses - where uncovering information is almost impossible.
