In Malaysia there is a hugely controversial debate over its laws on transvestites and transsexuals. A government politician is campaigning for drag shows to be made legal in the majority Muslim country to encourage what he calls “healthy entertainment”. Malaysia’s transvestite and transsexual community has welcomed the idea - hoping it’ll mean more jobs and respect.
