We have uncovered the first new evidence that the government of Sudan is actively supporting the janjaweed militia -- blamed for a wave of killings, rape and ethnic cleansing in Darfur. We have discovered that the Arab militia fighters have been integrated into the Sudanese army - even wearing official uniforms. We travelled with UN monitors and met with many of the militiamen who are now wearing Sudanese army uniforms.
