Israel (Gaza): Children at War 6 minutes, 2005 Ref: 400
They’ve known no other life but war. An extraordinarily powerful documentary portrayed the lives of Palestinian children growing up in the Rafah refugee camp, caught up in the violence between the Israeli army and Palestinian fighters. When it was made a year ago - twelve year old Ahmed had dreams of martyrdom: Najla, aged sixteen, hoped to be a lawyer - eight members of her family killed as the Israelis moved against militant fighters. Since the film was made, Israeli forces have razed much of the camp - both children’s homes have been demolished. We went to Rafah to find out what became of them.
