A brilliant film from
China on the sacrifices made in the interests of
cheap Chinese toys. Workers often suffer horrible
disfigurement and amputations in horrendous work
conditions. We meet a Chinese lawyer who has taken
on the might of the Chinese state to fight for
workers, many of them children, who have suffered
terrible injuries in the booming toy factories of
China. He has been threatened with murder and
attempts have been made to bribe him to stop his
legal actions, but he continues to fight for those
who are unable to fight for themselves. |
