We talk with a man in hospital while he is dying of his injuries at the hand of President Mugabe’s police. Whilst the war has raged in Iraq, Robert Mugabe has been stamping around in Zimbabwe taking the country’s economy and it’s human rights further down the road to complete ruin. The man who was accused of having stolen some handcuffs during an anti-Mugabe demo was so badly beaten that he was eventually transferred to a private clinic in an attempt to save his life. We arranged to interview him just before he died from his injuries. It is an appalling insight in to the reign of terror that Mugabe presides over and one wonders whether if he had oil he might be attracting more of the world’s attention. This material was smuggled out of Zimbabwe.
