Iraq: Living in the Shadow of War 5 minutes, 2004 Ref: 291
In Baghdad, there is little sign that Iraqis may soon be bombed. That is probably, in part, because Saddam Hussein’s regime tightly controls what ordinary Iraqis are allowed to hear. But also, Baghdad has lived under the threat of attack for 20-years and people have learned to live on the shadow of war. Young Iraqis have known nothing but war. We visited schools, pool halls and theatres in the capital to see how ordinary Iraqis are handling this tense situation.
