UK: Never on a Sunday 5 minutes, 2002 Ref: 288
The proposed introduction of Sunday flights to a Scottish island has caused outrage from strict observers of the Sabbath. Public transport services and businesses do not operate on the "Lord's Day" to Stornoway on the island of Lewis. We visited this Hebridean island to see what life’s like on a Sunday. We found that the island virtually shuts down, with no golf played on its famous course and until recently even the pubs had to shut, with no alcohol allowed to be sold. The Sunday rule is causing some division within this small community.
