In 2002, Denmark introduced new draconian immigration laws. One of the most controversial aspects was banning Danes under the age 24 from marrying anyone from outside the European Union. The Danish government claims it has the best social services payout in the world and believes this is attracting a large number of asylum seekers. We went to Copenhagen to check on the local’s attitude to this new law and how some Danes are already finding ways around it.
