Tibet - Restless in Exile 41 minutes, 2000 Ref: 165
For many Tibetans there is increasing frustration at China's refusal to grant them independence. This is leading some, especially young Tibetans living in exile, to call for armed resistance in their struggle for freedom. There are more than 130,000 Tibetans living in exile in India, among them the country's spiritual leader the Dalai Lama. China says they are free to return to Tibet as long as they give up their independence struggle. The Dalai Lama has consistently denounced any use of violence and exclusively tells us that some progress is being made in the struggle for independence but that time is running out. We hear from others who believe that more drastic measures are required to give Tibet back its independence.
