That's what young criminals in Johannesburg tell us in intimate and revealing portraits of their lives: that's why they hijack, deal in drugs, become burglars or rip your necklace off in the street. We travel with the cops as they chase and then arrest some of the criminals, look at the conditions in which the criminals grow up. These are the most violent and dangerous streets in the world.
