For the first time in Afghanistan, all the groups opposed to the Taliban are combining their forces into a national army. Ahmed Shah Massoud, the hero of the war against the Soviets and the leader of the rebels, hopes to assemble a force of 20,000 men. We see thousands of recruits being trained in northeast Afghanistan and obtain an extremely rare interview with Massoud & hear some of the horror stories about the Taliban.
