Laos: Time Bomb

Laos: Time Bomb
19 minutes, 2001
Ref: 126

It's the most bombed country in history and more people are being killed or maimed now by bombs than when the bombs were dropped. More bombs were dropped by the U.S. on Laos in the Vietnam War than fell on all of Europe during World War Two. Now, 28-years later, many people have given up farming for fear of being killed. Up to 30 percent of the bombs failed to explode. Their clearance will take at least 20 more years.
