Algeria is described as a place where no-one dreams anymore, they just try to stay alive. It has the bloodiest war in the world. At least 70,000 dead, possibly more, many of them massacred by attackers armed with guns and knives. What do normal village people do against such attacks? We speak with survivors of one of the massacres, who told of how they escaped murder and plan to guard against future attacks. The leader of Hamas, a moderate Islamic group in Algerian terms, describes the attackers as barbarians.
