President Slobodan Milosevic has always relied on nationalist emotions and propaganda to hide the economic devastation brought on by his series of disastrous wars. But that might not be working any more. Serbs are frustrated, they're bitter and want change. Now the question is how much more will they take? Recently, big anti-Milosevic rallies turned bloody under the batons of police. Now of course Milosevic has stared down this kind of opposition before. In fact, despite being vilified by his own people and indicted for war crimes, his authority seems unshaken. But in the wake of the Kosovo war, the political barometer is rising.
