Teenage pregnancies are on the increase in industrialised countries. And so is abortion. Most people don't pay much attention to these details, but the Catholic Church in Britain has forced them to. It's offering financial support to any woman in need if she chooses childbirth over abortion. This is controversial, because one of the mothers-to-be is a 12-year-old. The church's opponents argue that helping a child to have a child is immoral.
