Who Gets the Contracts (Rebuilding Iraq), 6 minutes, 2003 (Ref: 333) |

|
Tens of billions of
dollars worth of contracts are about to be handed
out to rebuild Iraq, all lucrative deals for the
companies involved. But who gets that business is
proving controversial. The US administration has
declared that in the interests of national security
only American firms will be invited to bid. Of the
companies selected so far, several have strong
connections to the White House. We went to Texas to
meet some of the firms who feel they're being
unfairly squeezed out of the bidding process. |
